The Year of You

There’s no timeline for grieving. But the start of a new year forces us to feel like it’s a beginning. It is. Let this year be about You. That doesn’t mean you’re suddenly done with grief. Prepared to box up your loved ones clothes. Ready for new relationships. Open to new adventures. But it could.

Cheers to a new year and another chance for us to get it right. ~Oprah Winfrey
Be at war with your vices, at peace with your neighbors, and let every new year find you a better man. ~Benjamin Franklin (I don’t think Ben would mind one tiny tweak…a better ‘person’)
Your success and happiness lies in you. Resolve to keep happy, and your joy and you should form an invincible host against difficulties. ~Helen Keller
Hope smiles from the threshold of the year to come, whispering ‘it will be happier’ ~Alfred Lord Tennyson
You’ll never get bored when you try something new. There’s really no limit to what you can do. ~Dr. Seuss
Wishing all my widowed friends peace, comfort and hope in the new year, the Year of You.
